OFF TO THE BUCKEYE STATE TUESDAY
Greetings from the PA Turnpike, where we're rolling toward Ohio at this hour. I caught up with head coach Mark French and goaltender Jason Bacashihua at practice Tuesday morning before we all made our way out the door for Cleveland.  A reminder that Wednesday's game will begin at 10:45 a.m., with the pregame show set to go at 10:25 a.m. It will be a vast departure from routine for all of us, but it's all part of life in the American Hockey League.  A few thousand school children from around the Cleveland area will be on hand to watch the game.

The Bears head to Lake Erie without Mathieu Perreault.  Number 24 is out due to illness, and Patrick Mcneill isn't on the trip either after the hit he took last Friday in Adirondack. Michael Dubuc is listed as week-to-week due to injury, which means every other able bodied player is with us on the bus today.

It's a rough night for the staff tonight in northeast Ohio. The Cavaliers play the New Orleans Hornets at Quicken Loans Arena Tuesday, meaning the hockey gear won't be in the dressing room until after midnight tonight.  But for me, I'll do something tonight that I haven't done since I was 13 years old.  I'm attending an NBA game.  The last (and only!) time I've ever seen a game was with my dad in Indianapolis many moons ago when the Pacers played the Atlanta Hawks.  Moses Malone was playing for Atlanta that day, so you know it's been a while.  At the very least, it's something to pass the time until midnight when we move into our Cleveland headquarters.
