| FRIDAY VIDEO, NEUVY UP, HOLTBY BACK |
The Bears returned to practice Friday morning, with a couple of roster moves off ice with Washington adding some spice. Goaltender Braden Holtby, who backed up Jose Theodore again Thursday night in New York against the Rangers, returned to Giant Center after being assigned by the Capitals. Michal Neuvirth was also recalled to D.C. Friday morning. While on the subject of goaltending, Semyon Varlamov looked pretty good Friday at practice. It would seem at least a possibility that Varly could earn a start for the Bears in the not too distant future.
Mark French, Jason Bacashihua and Andrew Joudrey join us today here on video, talking about Wednesday's win in Norfolk and the upcoming I-81 showdown Saturday with the Penguins. The Bears are the only team in the American Hockey League off on Friday. Given the weather that's moving into the area, it comes at a very nice time. |
